Rome to Athens on the Azamara Onward

All together we were on the Azamara Onward from April 22nd to May 24th with three separate back-to-back-to-back cruises. The following photos are from the total journey. It was a wonderful trip, as you can see for yourselves:

April 23 – Capri and More… We took the ferry from Sorento to Capri for a tour of the island.

230502 Kotor, Montenegro… A beautiful bay and city filled with ancient buildings and wonderful places to explore.

230503 Dubrovnik, Croatia… The old city was a wonder to explore with many locations that were featured in Game of Thrones.

230505 Krka National Park, Split, Croatia… The second most visited park in the country and for good reason… amazing!

230505 Chioggia (Little Venice), Italy… This was Venice’s little brother at the south end of the lagoon. Less crowds and great pizza.

230506 Chioggia, Italy… This was an overnight for us and an easy way to travel to Venice on Bus #80.

230507 Split, Croatia… A Roman palace was walking distance from the ship and the city was a step back in time.

230508 Zadar, Croatia… From the Sea Organ to beautiful parks to narrow streets, the city was a joy to explore.

230509 Kotor, Montenegro… An ancient city with walls you can walk, and that’s just the start. Kotor is rich in culture and local tasty treats.

230510 Dubrovnik, Croatia… This was the second visit on this adventure but still plenty of exploring to do.

230511 Hvar, Croatia… The city is nice to walk and plenty of local sites and beaches on the island.

230512 Venice, Italy… We finally made it via Bus #80 from Chioggia. The city was too busy to book a tour so we made our own via public transportation, and it was worth it.

230515 Corfu, Greece… It was a nice “walking around” city with plenty of shopping and sights to see.

230516 Argostolion, Greece… The central markets were traffic free, and we walked to the bridge and back along the bayfront.

230517 Zakinthos, Greece… A pretty city of plazas, kitty cats, churches, and more.

230517 Southern Peloponnese… A small town with a lot of seaside culture.

230518 Heraklion, Greece and More… A cultural wonderland, from the Palace of Knossos to high-end shopping in the city center.

230520 Santorini, Greece… Always a beautiful island with a cable car to the top and lots to see.

230521 Rhodes, Greece…  From the home of the Knights of Saint John to walking the city wall, the city never fails in the exploration category.

230522 Kusadasi, Turkey… It rained and Ephesus was too slippery to walk around, so we enjoyed the entertainment on the ship.

230524 Mykonsos… We walked the narrow streets to the windmills on the hill and back to “Little Venice.
