Lima to Miami on the Azamara Onward
We had just finished a cruise from Miami to Lima on the, Azamara Onward, through the Panama Canal and now we were headed back to Miami. We took a slightly different route back, hugging the Western Caribbean and passing through Maya territory. We also did different tours on the repeat ports, but you can see for yourselves:
Jan 30 – Cayman Islands… Not our first time in the Caymans, so we spent the day shopping and just walking around town.
Feb 1 – Cartagena, Colombia… We spent more time in the ship’s pool area, but we did enjoy the little mini-zoo just a few feet from the ship.
Feb 5 – Gamboa, Panama… Taking a ship’s tour, we visited the Gamboa Resort and the local monkeys on islands in Lake Gatun.
Feb 7 – Manta, Ecuador and Feb 17… We walked the local beach, visited a local museum, and did some light shopping.
Feb 8 – Guayaquil, Ecuador and Feb 16… A nice city with a river walk just a few blocks from the city center.
Feb 10 – Trujillo, Peru (Moche Huaca de la Luna) and Feb 13 – Trujillo, Peru… We visited an ancient Moche pyramid (Huaca) and enjoyed a tour of the city and local museums.
Feb 19 – Panama City… We enjoyed an evening of folk dancing.
Feb 21 – Puerto Limon, Costa Rica… We spent time in the local rain forest and had a great time ashore.
Feb 26 – Cozumel, Mexico… We walked the Malecon and enjoyed the local art project and sights and sounds of the city.
