An Oasis in the middle of the city…
It just hit 103 outside my home in San Diego, and that is hot for us, and me too. But there are some cool spots in the city and one is both an oasis from the heat and the name of the place is Oasis, as in the Lifelong Learning Institute. Oasis is located on the top floor of Macy’s in Mission Valley, offers talks and events for the plus fifty crowd. And how do I know that? It is one of my favorite places to talk and “try out” new material and get “constructive” feedback. Seniors rarely hold back on the feedback, and help with the “next time include” thing… and we all need a bit of course corrections.
Feel free to join in the fun and learning new things (not exclusive things), and we can sail down the Panama Canal, or fight off pirates, or even explore Egyptian tombs together, and have a grand time in the process.
